OBJECTIVE:
Primary duties include opening
new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, cross selling bank products and
services and providing quality customer service to further customer relations
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Meet
and greet customers
- Opening
and closing accounts
- Renewing
certificate accounts
- Assists
customers with issues regarding financial products and transactions,
including debit card disputes, online banking, IRA’s, checking account
issues
- Performs
a variety of financial transactions involving cash and negotiable
instruments
- Answers
customers questions regarding bank services provided
- Performs
a variety of account maintenance in person and by telephone
- Cross
sells services and performs related receptionist and secretary functions
as required
- Performs
account research on bank system, places holds on accounts and transfers
funds online
- Assist
in answering the telephone and transferring calls to the appropriate
personnel
- Safe
deposit box services
- Operate
a teller station as required
- Other
duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- High
school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate
degree preferred
- 1-2 years of retail sales, money
handling and/or customer service experience required
- 2 years banking experience preferred
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent
PC skills including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, internet,
and internal software
- Strong
verbal, negotiation and presentation skills in order to achieve sales
objectives in a professional manner
