OBJECTIVE:
Performs a variety of administrative duties in support of
the Lending Department in conformance with the Bank ‘s policies and procedures
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
·
Assist
and support Commercial Lender in the loan documentation process, closing loans,
perfecting liens, maintaining credit and collateral files and processing
payments and advances.
·
Complete
loan documentation checklist, order lien searches, title commitments, O&E's
and flood reviews.
·
Respond
to customer inquiries about existing commercial loans.
·
Close
new and renewed commercial loans and ensure accurate execution of all documents
and receipt of all fees.
·
Input
new and renewed loans including collecting and tracking of loan fees to ensure
proper income reporting.
·
Process
requests for loan advances and ACH loan payments.
·
Verify
availability of funds, maturity date and borrowing base availability to ensure
proper credit of requested funds.
·
Prepare
GL tickets manually on loan payments, advances, loan fees, recording and
related fees and transfers and send to proof department.
·
Daily
post loan advances and payments.
·
Process
refunds of overpayments on loan payoffs to ensure accurate balancing of the
payoff transaction.
·
File
liens on Bank's collateral with the proper agencies within 24 hours from loan
closing to ensure Bank's collateral position.
·
Maintain
tickler system daily to ensure liens are filed, insurance remains in force, and
borrower financials are gathered timely, as required by LO or SLC.
·
Create
and maintain commercial loan credit and collateral files according to the
Bank's Credit Policy after loan closing to ensure standardization of files.
·
Prepare
pay-off letters for commercial loans
·
Process
credit references and verifications of loan and deposit balances. Process all
paid loans within 30 days of payoff and forward documents to appropriate
recording office for prompt and proper release of all liens.
·
Post
wires for Loan Payoffs.
·
Prepare
the Monthly SBA Report.
·
Service
Participation Loans.
·
Hub
File every two weeks.
- Is
familiar and complies with applicable bank policies and all banking
regulations including, but not limited to BSA, USA Patriot/CIP
requirements, AML and other regulations
- Collection
calls, as needed, for payments and credit file documentation requests
- Other
Duties as may be assigned
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Education and
Experience:
- High School diploma
required; Associate degree preferred
- 3-5 years of related
business or financial experience
- Experience with
loan/mortgage industry experience and/or title insurance experience
Skills and
Competencies:
- Basic knowledge in MS Word
& Excel.
- Detail
oriented team player that can multi-task and handle workloads with
deadlines
